Frequently Asked Questions

Who do I call if I have a question or a problem?

We partner with your repair providers to ensure you receive the best service and quality repairs. If there is ever any issue, please call us at Accuserve so that we can review and help address your issue.

What role does Accuserve play in the repair process?

Our concierge-style offering unifies the property restoration and claims experience for property owners, contractors, and insurance carriers. We partner with your carrier to oversee the restoration being completed as a part of your claim and provide the expertise and consistency necessary to give you as a homeowner peace of mind.  Remember when your carrier is partnered with Accuserve, by default you can always reach out to us here at first.

When do I need to pay my deductible?

Your deductible represents your share of the loss and typically your insurance carrier will pay for covered repairs less the amount of your deductible which will be paid directly to your repair provider.  For more specific information, you can reach out to your Accuserve contact or insurance carrier adjuster. Additionally, Accuserve offers exclusive financing options for exterior claims at market competitive rates. Your Accuserve claims representative will have more details, including how to start the easy, on-line application process.

Can I use my own contractor?

We always want property owners to feel trust and comfort in the restoration process, so you are always free to use any contractor you like. When you choose to use an Accuserve contractor, you get a fully vetted, proven contractor with a history of great performance within our program, who has helped others in situations like yours. You also get the expertise of our tenured professionals and the concierge-level service of our customer care team at no extra cost to you. In addition, you receive the contractor’s direct warranty along with a second warranty from Accuserve, which gives you an additional layer of protection.

Can I delay the inspection until I know if my insurance will cover the damage?

We recommend an inspection first. For some types of damage (water, for example), the longer you wait, the greater the risk of the damage increasing. The inspection is always free, and your Accuserve contractor will take photos and document any findings. This information will be helpful for your adjuster to make a coverage determination.

Will Accuserve send someone to fix the source of my water loss?

Accuserve will dry your home and provide necessary repairs, but it’s the property owner’s responsibility to address the source of the damage or loss. Save all your receipts and discuss the repairs with your adjuster once the source of the leak has been fixed.

Will my damage be covered by my insurance?

While we do partner with your carrier to help you get your home back to normal, we do not have direct access to your policy nor do we have the ability to determine coverage under your policy contract.  We recommend discussing coverage with your adjuster should the need arise.
